Mahlers’ Rückert-Lieder

The Radio Filharmonisch Orkest have updated their concert program on 11 June to include Theo’s orchestration of three movements of Alban Berg’s Lyric Suite instead of the Berg Sonata op. 1. As Theo remarked, “In orchestrating these movements of the Lyric Suite, I have kept as close as possible to Berg’s style. From previous experience, I know that the enormous intensity of the music asks for a great diversity of ideas regarding texture and individual part writing.”

Markus Stenz, who will conduct this programme, also conducted the world premieres of Theo’s Clarinet Concerto and the Trombone Concerto.
