Introdans

Introdans’ artistic director Roel Voorintholt brings together three very distinctive choreographies from different generations. Dutch-born Regina van Berkel and Didy Veldman and American-born Lucinda Childs all guarantee a highly individual, appealing style and approach to the modern ballet idiom. While Veldman took a painting by Pablo Picasso as her inspiration, Van Berkel’s extensive, theatrical choreography (set to music by Theo Verbey) passes before your eyes like a Salvador Dalí film. Lucinda Childs, now aged 77, rounds off the programme with a world premiere set to the music written by Ludovico Einaudi for the French film hit Intouchables.
