Asko|Schönberg will present a program of Dutch music including Theo Verbey’s “Expulsie” a piece he wrote for Asko in 1990 on the occasion of their 20th anniversary. Asko|Schönberg will also be presenting two world premiers: “Canciones del Alma” by Rob Zuidam and a new Tuba Concerto by Friso van Wijck. The scheduled presentation of the silent film “Die Teufelskirsche”, with a new score by Theo Verbey has been delayed because of unexpected technical problems with the restoration of the print.
