Written in honor of the 250th anniversary of Bach’s death. Can also be performed as part of the suite called “Orchesterübung,” together with Verbey’s arrangement of Bach’s Ouverture in the French Style BWV 831 for solo traverso, strings and continuo, plus two original works, the Ouverture (Suite) in G and Ouverture (Suite) in D in the style of Bach, written by Verbey and based on BWV 1066 and 1068 respectively.
